Lectura y Rock &Roll
17 October – 15 November 2026
Artevistas Gallery — El Born, Barcelona
This October, I am delighted to present Lectura y Rock & Roll, my new exhibition at Artevistas Gallery’s El Born space in Barcelona.
Artevistas Gallery has two distinctive exhibition spaces in the city. Its original location is at Passatge del Crèdit, 4, in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. This historic setting has a remarkable connection with the city’s artistic heritage.
Founded with a strong commitment to contemporary art, Artevistas brings together a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture and urban art. Its programme creates a dialogue between emerging and established artists, presenting different perspectives and contemporary artistic languages.
The exhibition will take place at the gallery’s second space, in El Born, at Carrer de la Barra de Ferro. Situated in one of Barcelona’s most vibrant cultural districts, the gallery is surrounded by significant landmarks such as the Picasso Museum and the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar.
I am particularly pleased to present Lectura y Rock & Roll in this setting. For me, exhibiting in El Born is an opportunity to place the work within a vibrant cultural environment where art, history and the everyday life of Barcelona naturally come together.
The name of the exhibition:
Lectura y Rock & Roll
We live in a world marked by speed, immediacy and an excess of stimuli. Between obligations, work, worries and endless scrolling, taking a moment to stop has almost become an act of resistance.
Lectura y Rock & Roll portrays those moments we reserve for ourselves: reading a book, listening to a record, getting lost in a museum or simply enjoying a moment of calm.
The exhibition embraces the pause as a way of regaining balance and disconnecting from the noise of everyday life. Books, music, vinyl records and art thus become spaces for freedom, concentration and discovery.
And rock & roll appears as a symbol of rebellion: a way of going against the current and asserting our right to stop.
Because stopping can also be a form of resistance.
We are holding our opening event on Saturday, October 17th, at 7:00 PM. You are all invited; there will be music, cocktails and art.
We look forward to seeing you there!
